Energy Efficiency in Rented Properties

From April 2018, regulations are being introduced to improve the standard of energy efficiency in the private rented sector.  From 1 April 2018, landlords of private rented properties may not grant a tenancy to new or existing tenants if their property has an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of band F or G.  From 1st April 2020 this will also apply to existing tenancies.  For more information and to see if your tenancy and property is affected,  visit the Devon and Somerset Trading Standards website
